A Recruiting-First Website for Two Durham Salon Suite Locations

WanderLux Salon Suites leases private suites to independent beauty professionals at two Durham locations, University Hill and Southpoint. The owners had one clear priority for the website: show the place off and recruit stylists. The question prospective tenants ask most is whether the walls really go all the way to the ceiling (they do), so we rewrote the site to lead with private, quiet, fully enclosed suites instead of generic salon language.

We rebuilt the home page around real suite photography, added interior galleries for each location, and turned Leasing a Suite into one scrolling page that answers a stylist’s questions in order and ends with a short form. The directory of beauty pros runs on Directorist, so clients can browse by service (hair, nails, esthetics, barbering, tattoo) and book directly with each pro. We cleaned up the service categories, removed maps that were weighing pages down, and replaced a confusing multi-step embedded form with a simple Gravity Form: name, email, and cell number.

A recruiting popup invites stylists to book a tour, and a Google reviews page shows what clients say. When the only exterior photo of the Southpoint location was full of parked cars, we used AI image editing to produce a clean exterior with the correct signage, a small example of how AI gets a small business polished visuals without paying for a reshoot.
